Why you NEED to visit Matalan ASAP!

Oh my word. Matalan’s Home department are killing it this season! Gone are the days when it was somewhere only your Nan shopped. They have totally nailed the scandi-boho vibe that’s really popular at the moment, and their prices are easy on the old purse strings too. Whats not to love!

If you’re anything like me and trying to make your home fabulous on a budget, then you probably get a little bit excited when you come across high street homeware that looks great and is priced well, so with this in mind I thought I would share some of my favourites from the Matalan home collection with you all. Enjoy!

Panel Border Tassel Duvet Set – I’m a big fan of tassels and of crisp white bed sheets, so this duvet set ticks all the right boxes, and you can purchase coordinating cushions separately too. I think they would look great in a minimalist monochrome room, with this concrete geometric based lamp resting on the bedside table.

Copper still seems to be going strong this season and I am swooning over the Hugo Copper Cluster Light. At £130 it is one of Matalan’s pricier items but I just love it. Unfortunately I don’t think it would fit anywhere in my home (literally, the ceilings are all too low wahhh), so if someone else could please buy it so I can admire it in your pictures instead that would be excellent.

I firmly believe that you can never have too many lanterns in your home and this copper one is just perfect.

And one more lamp, last one I promise! I love the marble base on the Helena arc table lamp and I think again it would look great on my bedside table or as a reading lamp on my middle daughters desk.

Ahhh blush pink. My absolute favourite. There’s a lot of pink home accessories in Matalan at the moment (much to the joy of my inner eight year old self) so I just picked a couple of my faves otherwise we’d be here all day. I already have several of these pink mongolian fluffy cushions and I can vouch for how perfect they are. I also really like the look of these velvet cushions, and fancy adding a few to my collection to mix up the textures and create a real cosy vibe. This speckled pink vase would look great on the hanging shelf in my living room and is only £8.00, bargain!

Channel your inner boho babe with these gorgeous little things! I love the realistic look of this faux fern and concrete planter with faux succulents. I actually have a concrete planter very similar to this which I got from Homesense a while ago, but I’ve never managed to find anything small enough to fit in it so its still empty!

Instagram has been going mad for this gold planter with metal stand lately and I can see why, as its only £12 and is a decent size at 39cm tall. I think it would look perfect with a string of pearls plant draped over it.

And last but not least, where would I be without some sort of wall hanging in almost every room,  I really like  this one from this season’s collection.

So there we have it, just some of my favourites from Matalan this season.

Any other Matalan fans out there? I’d love to know what your favourite pieces are!

Love Frankie x
