Iconic Lights x Grillo Designs Collaboration Launch
This was the first time I’d ever been invited to anything like this. With Iconic Lights being one of my favourite brands, and Grillo Designs being one of my favourite interior bloggers, I of course snapped up the opportunity immediately!
The event took place at Menagerie, a beautifully decorated venue in Salford. As it turned out, the launch date fell on a week when I was away in North Wales. Not one to let a holiday get in the way of my interior obsession, I decided to drive up for the evening regardless. Unfortunately I didn’t factor in the rush hour traffic and it took me an extra hour to get there, meaning I missed the first hour of the event! Doh!
One of my insta besties Laura AKA @lifeonjacklane was also attending the event, and luckily was on hand once I arrived to find me a glass of prosecco and calm my flustered nerves. It was lovely to finally meet her, and I think she was relieved to confirm at last that I was definitely not an instacatfish 😂
After indulging in some of the tasty canapés on offer, I made an attempt to wander round and mingle with the other guests. The funny thing about the whole Instagram home scene, is that many of us rarely show our faces on the gram. This meant that although I knew there were a lot of people attending who I chat to online, I struggled to pick some of them out in the crowd! It was an interesting game trying to work out who was who 🤣
Of course the main part of the event, and the reason we were all there, was the reveal of Iconic Lights x Grillo Designs lighting range!
I love the industrial yet minimalist design of the Forton lamp, which is available in a table or floor version with two colour options – grey or glossy black. We were all given lamps to take home, and I chose the forton table lamp in grey. I just know it will fit in perfectly in pretty much any area of my home!
The Phara ceiling light is a gorgeous gold geometric statement piece. So stylish and on trend!
Also attending the event to deliver a little workshop for us all, was Liz from Echo Designs. I had fun chatting to her and decorating my own little plant pot with her handy stick on vinyls. She also gave me a beautiful print to take away with me.
The rest of the event was spent chatting to lots of lovely bloggers and instagrammers, and taking as many ridiculous photos/boomerangs as possible in the ball filled bathtub surrounded by balloons! It was so good to be able to meet in person so many people who I’d been chatting to for months on insta.
At the end of the night we were all given a goodie bag containing gifts from Spoonflower, Miller Harris, Wallace Cotton, Rust-Oleum and Lorna Syson before heading off on our merry way.
I had a great time at the event and only one question remains… WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE? 😆
